About Me
- Diallo Dixon
- I am a Jamaican photographer who captures a wide variety of subjects through his viewfinder. As my roots lie in black & white film work, I tend to lean towards b&w for digital work. My non-commissioned work tend to lean towards fine art or wall art works, however im also available for commissioned work such as weddings, product photography and more. My official portfolio can be viewed at www.diallodixonphotography.com
Choir Boyz in Performace at "Music In The Valley"
This is a group of very talented friends who have been singing together since high school. They recently put on their first show, "Music In The Valley"
Nativity Scene
Gee Whiz, its Christmas!
Taken at Stella Maris Church.
Steel Band on stage
Shot on stage the night before UWI Panoridim's 2005 concert season. Theatre lighting effects are fabulous, wish I could recreate it in a studio.
Mustang muscle
The next 3 photographs were taken with my film camera, a Minolta SLR, with B&W film, at drag racing in Vernam, Clarendon.
New Kingston
Night time shot. Shot it through glass, thats why it looks the way it looks.
Guitar silhouette
Experimenting with light...a lamp placed in a corner, hidden by the guitar
Nature's carpet
Taken at the University of the West Indies Mona campus Chapel Gardens
Key Reflections
On an office retreat at Grand Lido Braco, the room in which our activities were being held housed a baby grand piano. Not very often I am around a grand piano, so had to take advantage.
Surreal Sunset
For this one I fooled around with the colours in photoshop. I think it now has a surreal look to it.
Full Moon
A shot of the full moon on a clear night. Had to bump up the shutter to its highest speed, id overlooked that even tho its night and its dark, the moon itself is very bright, so you need a very quick shutter to capture the moon's details.
Boats
These were taken on a club trip (UWI Camera Club) one early Saturday morning, out by the famous Port Royal. They ended up being among my entries into the UWI Camera Club 2009 exhibition.
This is on sale here
This one was taken in Portland.
Meeting fence
Snapped this on a photo trip to Port Royal. Thought it was an interesting capture.
