Forsaken Childhood

  • This is a shot of an old dilapidated swing taken at a small beach in Annotto Bay. That beach at some point in time was a children's playground, as it also had a slide and a jungle gym. Kind of a strange place for a playground. I played around with the colours in photoshop to give it that old aged look.

I like the composition of this one alot. I personally would have chosen a darker colour (in feel, not in actual hue) to bring out the forsaken part of it only because green usually symbolizes growth. I love the whole idea though. nice.

Green might symbolise growth but the context with the hue creats a certain discomfort looking at the piece. I love it ... thumbs up.

A darker shade in my opinion wouldn't have captured the uneasiness of the piece - this somewhat has the quailty of the movie Gattaca with the unusal tint and the rawness in some of the shots in 'Training Day' (more so when Ethan Hawke was getting high unknowningly.)

    thumbs up again

I agree with Anx, the tint gives it a warped feel like all is now lost while being reminiscent of what once was.
